Got done watching the first episode.
The art style is amazing again, incredibly colorful and dreamlike at all times. Everything as a whole feels a lot less formulaic than Stardust Crusaders, which is my main critique with that arc. Part 1 and 2 felt incredibly unpredictable and wild. Diamond is Unbreakable has that feeling of being unpredictable, exciting. Josuke feels like an all new Jojo, he seems like a more dastardly version of Jonathon. And Jotaro feels more like a fleshed out character than a plot device.
The stakes being lowered by quite a bit makes sense. The Pillar Men from Part 2, specifically Kars, were the biggest and most powerful threat thus far in the anime. So the story in Diamond revolving around stand users fighting and tip toeing around each other in a city is a lot more interesting than the formula Stardust Crusaders followed.
I really like how each JoJo mother or caretaker has been different than one another. Tomoko isn't nearly as sweet as past Jojo mommas.
Humor was on point. Sound effects are fucking radical. Stands in general feel a lot more exciting, less plodding maybe compared to Stardust?
Wish all the episodes were done and released. Waiting every week is going to suck ass.
Really want to know what the opening and ending songs will be as well.
