What's up for the weekend, boritos?
« on: December 02, 2011, 08:32:17 PM »
Friday: Kinda sick, so I'm going to sleep soon.  Sucks.
Saturday: We'll see how I feel.  But I'll probably finish The Wire Season 5
Sunday: Family, friends, dinner at a nice place.

Cajole, what club?

Tonite I just had dinner at one of my favorite holes in the wall restaurant, and went on a date to a local ale house... girl seemed nice enough but I know not to get my hopes up anymore.  :-\

Tomorrow nite I'm pumped for this:

First time in NYC, I've been a huge fan of his for a good 4 years now, so I'm really pumped! Plus he's at one of my favorite venues in the city. He's a melodic house/funky house/nu-disco DJ from Hungary.

O shit

For a brief, terrifying second, I thought you guys were all including Friday in your posts because today is only Thursday.

I'm going to spend all weekend thinking about how I'm going to get out of the shitpile that is my life. Also might kill myself.
Hey, me too! Except I'm more at the stage of putting my plans into action.

-Staying sober three days in a row for the first time in a long time.

-Attempting to train my attention span by imposing a minimum requirement of at least an hour spent on each activity -- reading the same book for at least an hour, playing the same game for at least an hour, etc. I should probably stay off the internet altogether.

-Actively seeking out human contact (barf). I'll likely do something with friends tomorrow and then head over to my dad's on Sunday for some NFL-driven bonding time.

Friday: Went out to dinner, drinking some Hair of the Dog Adam Old World Ale and watching TV with the wife.

Saturday: Farmer's market, building a crib and going to a friend's birthday party.

Sunday: 6-mile run, watching football and hooking up with Prole to buy the laptop. Planning on taking him to my neighborhood snobby beer bar.

Finally over a shitty cough, slept 'til 9.30, did some grocery shopping, cooked and ate bacon, eggs and black coffee, surfed on iPad, read a bunch of comics, did a kettlebell workout on the porch, now reading The Incal and listening to Gold Panda.

Then it's a choice between some Skyrim and watching The Last Boy Scout and Tree of Life.

Supporting my wife run a 50k tomorrow, and then eating at the best restaurant in sf

sounds like a recipe for shit, literally.

nah, found a way to salvage this shitty ass experience.  At this point, I enjoy being a complete hack and only studying for the test, instead of learning the law.  Then blabbing at school about how I'm not going to be a lawyer, then seeing all the heads turn to ask "Wait...HOW?! TELL ME!"  It's sick, but I'm deriving some pleasure from being a complete cock towards my school and almost everyone there....if I sense confidence in a 1L Gunner douche bag (non law students: these are the guys that grow up to be scummy and brag like crazy to intimidate others), I remind them what the job market is like and that everyone is confident before their first exams.  If I see someone cheating, I call them out on it just to fuck with them, then say "i don't care."  If someone asks why I don't wanna be a lawyer, I blatantly tell them I don't want to lie within legally acceptable limits for a living.  I've told 3 different people to "fuck off."   I've gotten the joy of having one top-of-my-class guy bash me for wanting to go into an alternative legal career because I won't make money, only to have him come up 2 weeks later and start inquiring about said alternative legal careers because he's only been getting rejection letters from everywhere he's applied to.  I've convinced many people on the internet and in real life to not go to law school at all.  On my study abroad trip, I didn't say a word to the ~10 deep group of stuck up bitches from day 1 because I could tell I would hate them...then all that was confirmed when they complained the whole trip and some of them cheated on their boyfriends. I'm reaching some sort of strange sociopathic enlightenment about the whole experience and it's kind of fun, though I totally admit it's classless and immature!

I have work due Monday but I can't make myself do it.  I hate this.  I feel no pressure at all.  I work best when I'm stressing out because I can play chariots of fire or going the distance and get pumped.  listening to chariots of fire now just makes me want to play qwop now.

Friday: Ordered pizza, later regretted it, went shopping, bought soon-to-be-fat clothes, couponed at Walgreens and saved 50% on crap we were already going to buy.

Saturday: Took new puppy to the vet, hung out at some friends' house, came home to two huge packages on my front porch from my cousin, containing baby books and maternity clothes. She just had a baby and is literally the only person in my huge extended family that is the same body type as me - same height (borderline Little Person) and curvy. Everybody else in the family is normal height or tall, and generally chubby/overweight all over with small or normal sized boobs. I hate clothes shopping, and she's a shopaholic, which works out beautifully other than she lives in AZ. I was pretty excited. /girl

Sunday: going to a local, tiny Italian restaurant with husband, hanging out doing nothing else the rest of the day. :rock

It just officially became Monday here, so my weekend is over.

This was my 2nd weekend without karate, and I can tell I'm going to need to do something low-impact to keep myself from swelling into a a fatty. My MRI on Tuesday may let me know what I can and can't safely do.

My weekend was low-key. Yesterday we went to a local mall, I had food-court-ramen (Tenkaippin) which was not entirely bad. Today I played games with my kids, went to a neighborhood mochi-pounding festival, and had a lot of fresh rice cakes. Failed to clean my office or upload my pics from last week's trip around Japan. I'm OK with that, too. Just feeling more mellow than I usually do.

It's such a beautiful cock, how could we not! Once we got to drinking, we went some places I never thought I'd ever go. With anyone.

I meant to join Secret Santa this year.  I have the thread in my address bar and I still forgot   :-\

I don't know why I put things up there.  I've been meaning to watch this Jazz Jackrabbit history video since September.

For sure I am, chrono. Got a person from the US and let me tell You that sending organic stuff there is a pain in the fucking ass.

You were a mule? Hope you were smuggling organic pineapples.
