Ive been posting on these gaming forums like GAF and Evilbore for a little while now... but I dont really understand how you earn tags. Sexual favours?

At gaf I one time said Fuck you EGM. That was my tag. later, I defended Shenmue and earned a "Lookin' for Sailors" tag. And i was really really happy with that one.  :-[ :-[ :-[

btw, at GAF, the mods only seem to give you tags if you post something really stupid, then they give you a demeaning tag.

either that, or you're in their little circle jerk of e-friends.

at Evilbore... you just have to be super cool and ask someone. But you have to be super cool.  I think you qualify.

Yep Error Macro is right, all you really have to do is ask.

Once you hit 2000 posts, though, you have complete control over your tag.

Some of the mods there are okay - White Man rox, of course - but the admins?  Fuhgeddaboutit.

edit: sorry about the GAF bitching, but the tag thing always seemed really, really stupid to me.

personally, I enjoy the anonymity that "member" offers me. I can participate in any discussion without worry of someone disregarding my arguments by quoting my tag.

At GAF I made an infamous post about getting pens for Christmas '05, and my tag became "Got pens?"

Later, some mod changed it to "Got penis?" ::)
