$5 paypal.  You get 2 downloads (no drm or anything) and 2 streams.  Shit's cheap, supports the current best comedian, and if successfully leads to more releases of this sort.

:nsfw outtakes (not in the special)

edit:  servers are really fast.  1 gig downloaded in like 5 minutes.

special is an hour long, btw.

i thought it was pretty good. thought the second half wasn't as strong as the first half (a vice versa from his previous special). the segment about hating the little boy was great.

it was great, though he's certainly lost some of his edge.  The whole smoking weed section was a rare boring spot in his act, imo.

I could see him making another season of Louie, doing another special, then maybe chilling out for a while.  He's been working his ass off Feels like he was repeating the same concepts the whole show (my daughters, parenthood sucks, i'm despicable but I try to be good), but with different jokes on top.

he mentioned on reddit (or something) that if it was successful, he'd make another movie (himself, for like $8 million)

He's been doing that for a while, though. You are right that he's been working his ass off, as he said he edited the entire season 2 of Louie by himself on his Macbook. Insane.

true.  i watched Chewed Up again immediately after and it was the same stuff, but sooooo much raunchier.  like "no wonder you had a divorce dude" :lol  I guess I knew that before, but I didn't think about the contrast with his current work.

that AMA was really interesting.  He seems like a genuinely cool guy and crazy introspective (and wiser as a result of reflecting on stuff.)
I hope he browsed around reddit and got inspired to work internet forums into his act or show.  He seems out of touch with that stuff enough to make some funny ass observations and not come off as gimmicky.

Louis was on Fresh Air (NPR) this morning. Absolutely fantastic as always. He started crying when talking about Patrice and Doug Stanhope.

Insane and amazing. I couldn't believe how much better S2 was than the (impressive) S1.

S2 was brilliant yeah.

I dunno- comedians generally arent great forever- Lewis Black I used to find hilarious, but his newer stuff is more just a dude yelling- I still appreciate all of his older stuff though.

Often shows up the "gross factor" or whatever as seasons progress, but S2 got more serious and darker while also being funny.

If you guys haven't seen his Jay Leno appearance, definitely check that out.  He uses some of his stand ups jokes, but a lot of it is cleaned up for the Leno audience.  The best part is that Leno keeps derailing him by asking dumb questions, and Louis just keeps talking.  You can see Leno getting uncomfortable when Louis talks about slavery  :lol

just (paid for and) watched it. Really not that strong, I thought. The whole getting high thing should be fucking off limits for all stand-ups at this point. Beyond played out. The stuff about being a parent was done better in the show. I chuckled but no belly laughs. Still great value and would love to see more artists offer content in a similar way though.

Which brother is this, the one who looks at gay porn or the other one?
