Had a heavy weekend. Crazy office party all night on Friday with like 100 strangers and then celebrating and burying my grandfather at sea on sat/sunday (who was an amazingly incredible person and he will be missed; funerals for good people are so depressing. The people wouldn't want you to be sad, but thinking about that just makes you sad they're gone. And when you make it ULTRA DRAMATIC with celtic music and flowers and ashes floating on the sea it's

:\ ). Today was kind of everyone just recovering at work, totally tired and barely getting anything done. Mainly cleaning up from the party. So, tonight single and alone, in the mood to get fucking DRUNK. Finishing up a bottle of wine that was about 30% through and taking some rum shots for good posture. Feels good man.

But I've learned my lessons in the past so I'm turning my internet OFF, as well as my phone, and setting my alarm and then going to kill 5000 grunts as WEI in DW7 and then hit the sack while writing drunken poetry and drawing pixel art of leprechauns.

It's the holidays! Who says you gotta drink on Friday/Sat. DRINK EVERYDAY

I found some Kiuchi Brewery beer in Hiroshima, last week. About to enjoy a bottle of Nest Beer "XH" (Extra High), an 8% alcohol brew.

It's 9%, but the alcohol content is not nearly as prevalent in taste as it was in XH -- Cormacaroni and I killed a pub's remaining stock of the stuff when we went out for beers a couple months ago.

Yeah, I have. Their winter ale this year is called "Sucks." It's an Imperial IPA that is mighty tasty. In 6-packs, too!

I'm going to be in California for interviews, and then depending on where I land work, am going to be living somewhere on the west coast. I'm open to anything from San Diego to Vancouver. Absolutely no idea what's coming next, and am both thrilled and terrified, like Father Mike in front of a girl.

I will welcome any homebrew you have, but I thought it was hard to send beer in the mail? With any luck, we can grab some in person if I get out that way for an interview.

It's hard but not impossible. You just wrap stuff up very carefully and if anyone asks, you're sending glassware.

ugh. I have been super low carb all week and then we went out with friends last night. my tolerance was destroyed. 2 drinks and I was stoopid. I had to go home. watched American Horror Story and couldn't tell if the plot was insane or I was just too drunk to comprehend it.

yeah, it will kill you if you're on something like a paleo/low carb diet. I was just eating meat and veggies last spring and had some of the worst hangovers of my life off of like 4 beers. like, stay in bed all day, can't hold down food, throwing up hangovers.
