well, they also tend to run the exact same specials all the time, would be nice if they mixed it up a bit

i mean, really, they should just go ahead and drop the normal price of audiosurf to $2.50 at this point

Hmmm, From Dust is tempting.

Did they fix the DRM and capped frame-rate issues yet?

Yeah, today's deals aren't bad, but I don't actually want any of these games so I still haven't bought anything.

Renegade Ops seems pretty good btw.

They didn't fix shit.  It's Ubisoft, why would they?  :lol

Still capped at 30fps, mouse lag, DRM, etc....

But I want to play the game and it's still the best version since 1080p, locked framerate, etc...  I'm gonna use a X360 controller so don't mouse lag doesn't bother me.

Bought Sonic for $15 from Amazon DD. Thanks for nothing, gaben.

Speaking of Amazon, can I change my bogus US address to somewhere with no tax charge?

Sorry, but I'm not interested in saving the American economy.

$3 vs. $7.50, good luck with that :P

I've found people will just price compare and not trade game for game unless they are similar value.  Best way is to trade game -> coal and then coal -> game but playing the coal numbers is tough.  Yesterday I think 1 coal was going for about $1->$1.50.

I have 42 coal.  I've spent about $40 to get there.

Question will be if I should save it until the end of the contest and have like 60+ pieces and then either:  A. Craft it and hope I get at least $30-60 worth of good games or B. Try to trade it for Assassin's Creed Rev ($50).

I think it's really cool.  Totally confusing, complex and alien, but cool.  Only complaint is that the shooting feels like HL2, which isn't the best.  I don't think it's a source engine thing because I've played mods with improved combat, and L4D feel better than vanilla HL2.

I got the achievement on the streets of a cyberpunk city where respawning men in black trench coats with robots were constantly attacking me, and at one point I went into a bar and was told to murder everyone.

FYI, Dungeon Defenders is $1.99 on Amazon DD.

Is the cole/business worth it? Unlike the previous hunts and contests, I haven't touched this one. None of the unlocked discounts mean much unless there's a dimension to it I'm not aware of.

Getting Hard Reset on steam $5 and Dungeon Defenders on Amazon for $2 and HAWX for $2.50 just cause I don't have any flight sims from the last 5 years and wouldn't mind checking out one.

Skyrim is still expensive, especially figuring there will be a GOTY edition with 4-5 DLC expansions by this time next year.  If it was under $30 maybe I'd bite.  But I'll just wait a year.

All I'm hoping out for over the next 8 days or so of Steam Sales is one bloody Assassin's Creed sale.  I don't care if it's only 25% off, I'd like to play AC Rev before the summer (which it'll probably be 50%).  I'm used to day 1-ing every AC game, so waiting on Rev is hard :\

Not really unless you get a sap to buy your coal with real games (and you need A LOT of coal to do that since it's worth very little these days).  If you have 7 coal you can probably trade it for a $2-4 game since it's like a lottery ticket with a 5% chance of winning a game worth more than $2-4.

I bought a huge amount of coal for dirt cheap because I wanted to take the gamble.  Got all coupons and just lost the money I threw at it.  Same thing is happening to a lot of people now so everyone is giving up on coal hope.

I kinda want to go to gamestop and buy the collector's edition for $100.  What's pissing me off is the stupid dragon statue.  collector's editions used to be decent, but not everything includes a giant lame statue.  statue of cole from infamous...what?

Got another 2 pieces of coal so far from Jamestown and And Yet it Moves.  That makes uh 15 straight coal gifts.  This contest is making me hate Gaben.  I don't think they thought out this contest that well, at the end of the day it's going to piss off customers more than let them have fun and want to like steam.  The ticket summer sale was way better.

I started playing Cave Story for the first time today (yeah, yeah). The game looked solid with nice level design and controls from the get-go, but when I got the machine gun and started shooting downwards to fly, everything became smooth as butter.

I can't believe I've ignored this long.

Renegade Ops is AWESOME...which was expected from Avalanche.  Can't wait to sink more time into this.

Hard Reset is really good on first glance.  The game controls incredibly well.  Smoothest, fastest, best controlling FPS I've played in years.  It also looks and runs great.  Cool cyberpunk theme.  Why I am playing bland Military FPS games when there are these interesting creative FPS games out there.  I should play this and Rage as my next FPS games.

Won my 2nd game from the Hard Reset gift:  Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth (valued at $5).  I heard it's good, but I dunno if I'll ever get to it.  Graphics are reaaaal ugly by today's standards.
