where in Italy?
I think I might be going to Italy, China, UK, France, and/or other places within the next few months.
If I'm here in June, I might do the Bore meetup. I dunno. June is far away.
Probably Rome, Venice, or Florence. Basically any where from Assassin's Creed II & its spinoffs. I was told by a native of Rome that June is the best weather and time to travel around Italy and Europe in general. Dunno if I'll have saved up enough money to do that this year though. Need to stop buying games.

I went to Italy with my family in 1999. We went to Rome (fuckin' dirty), Cortona, and I think Florence. Didn't get to go to Venice.
I played AC2 after visiting Venice (not because or anything) and thought it was cool running around san marco square and recognizing the place in the game. I think I could see the appeal of doing it the other way around. Like the villa from the two games set in Italy is a real place.
Yeah, it's actually cool visiting places you've seen in history books, movies or games in real life. One of the first times I was traveling around Japan I visited the bridge from Rurouni Kenshin's 2nd OP in Arashiyama, Kyoto.
Was neat seeing how different and the same it looked to its meiji-era depiction. Since Assassin's Creeds cities are so detailed and fleshed out with historical background from ACII onwards (thanks to the database addition), seeing these same historic sites in modern day and how they've changed over the last 400 years should be neat. I mean if I'm in Italy anyhow traveling around Europe, it's just another cool thing to do while I'm there. I really want to visit Monteriggioni, Tuscany since after running through it so many times across the AC2 games I feel like I know the layout of the city like the back of my hand. I mean look at this hotel:
