But it wasnt FIFA related... I was playing AC REvelation, and when I was poking around the DLC, I noticed my points were completely empty. So I figured they were expired and I go on the billing page.

Then I discovered a bunch of random purchases, like

- Fruit Ninja
- Bejewled 3
- Sega Rally
- 2 Avatar Items

I'm like WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF so I went through and changed my pass, and did the profile protection thing. Called them and I went into the investigation chamber... I hope I get it back before Final Fantasy : (

Nothing was changed and I wasn't even booted from my console, so I would guess they bought it from the website. Even then, nothing appeared on my Active Downloads. Maybe it was on another console?

Questions being: Who, How (did they get my info), and Why those games? I would have been happy if they wasted it on shit I was actually interested in.

MS really needs toughen up security for hacking into accounts. I've tried changing my hotmail email attached to my gamertag to my gmail account cuz my gmail security is tight as a virgin's asshole and it won't let me.

All of the hacking so far has happened on weekends mostly on saturdays. That seems to be the day either the accounts get "sold" or used by whoever. This shit is getting really annoying though. M$ sucks for saying its the users fault when its obvious something else is going on. I know your not stupid to succumb to phishing schemes and give out personal info to people you don't trust.

I thought for sure he would expose the issues at hand that's affected those of us that have been hacked. Little to nothing has been said by Geoff about the incident other than it got taken care of quickly. I'm assuming he got some hush hush money or whatever.

You only get emails if you buy points / subscriptions directly from Microsoft, not games. And I was never booted from my console when it happened, like the FIFA hacks.

Count yourself lucky Demi, someone out there just wanted you to be aware that you were hacked. You can ask MS if it was purchased via Xbox.com or on a console. My guess is Xbox.com, hence why you weren't knocked offline. You should tell them you have full control of the account now they might unlock your account if it was locked in the first place.

I got hacked two times in a row! Right after I got my account back in November I was knocked offline and had to download my profile again, this went on and off a few times. So I changed the email address associated and all corresponding passwords. They were already different passwords for both email and windows live id. Thankfully its not happened since I changed the email addy.

Got a robot email from them saying my account will be locked and unable to sign-in. So of course I'm still allowed to sign in because nobody is working on a Sunday.

Just got an email from MS saying their investigation is complete and I got all my points back (+20 cause you cant give back exactly 4480 points). The purchases are still in my billing, do you think I should see if I can still use them? I wouldnt mind playing Bejeweled 3 :x

They gave me another month code as well, and the points came in separate codes (4000 / 400 / 100). I could just sell these for cash money instead

No, but I had over 5,000 points. I already came up with the hypothesis they attack accounts they discover have a form of payment, so chances are your account is already compromised. They see you don't have shit to spend so they move on.
