Wii U will do fine in Japan, probably PS3 levels if not more, which is about as much as you can expect home consoles to do there nowadays. They'll sail the sales sea smoothly on the back of MH HD ports, Animal Crossing, Kirby, Mario, DQ, and if they're lucky some exclusive Tales games.
Nintendo really only has to worry about the west, and man, they definitely have to be sweating.
