on my dad's side they're mostly white, with some native american thrown in. the white is european, germanic in origin.

this is cool to me because I don't know my genealogy at all, and nothing about my family history beyond the fact that my grandfather was the first black police officer in Greenvile, Texas. He was harassed and beaten by the other police almost to the brink of death, so my dad's family of 6 packed up and high tailed it to San Rafael/Oakland, Cali.

Cherokee

I've got Cherokee, white and Mexican. My mom was adopted so we have no idea about her side. But my Great Grandfather was 100% Cherokee and I know on my Grandfather's side that they came over sometime in the late 1600's. My Aunt used to try to tell me about this stuff and I really wish I'd have cared more/paid attention more when I was younger.

My Grandmother made me read Trail of Tears when I was like 7 or 8. I was like wtf kind of Christmas gift is this Granny? shit's depressing.

Same here on my mother's side, but my siblings both have kids so we ain't the last and nevermind my 10 million cousins or whatever. Mom's side came over from Russia post WWII and she has a lot of brothers and sisters, don't know the exact number offhand.
