The reason I grouped it is because of the small stop-animation that still comes up if you disable the cutscenes (plus my Rathma mages would've expired by the time the fight started), it's annoying and I wanted to make sure I could do it in time. I think that's why they made him the 20sec boss (Malthael could've worked for that too though). I also prefer solo D3 (although I like playing with friends sometimes), but desperate times call for desperate measures. :lol

Why do you want Woh? It's all about the Starfire. 🔥

I have a few ancient starfires, and an ancient aether walker. Cubed a starfire, rolling with the aether walker. Been a week or so since I played, I just wanted the woh for faster db farming. I can only farm for 30 mins to an hr before getting bored so I wanted to maximise my ability to grind them as fast as possible. Woh explosive blast build still the fastest for farming afaik

The Akkhan's changes (coupled with the changes to Blade of Prophecy and Freyder's Wrath) make me hopeful for a Condemn build to be at thing but man, just a 5% buff to defense is not gonna cut it.

Got nearly half of my gear ancient, all with decent stats... tho very middle of the road relative to actual top tier, also haven't started augging anything. 61.53% cdr, cleared GR70 - 73 pretty easily but im back to farming. Somehow every weapon which is best for my build has dropepd as an ancient with near perfect stats. Praise the lords of RNG. Also got the gear for that explosive blast db farmer. SHit is as real as the how-to's would have me believe. Crushing 500+ DB per hour (up to 1000 if i get a few goblin rifts).

Want to jump into the PTR, or level new chars, but i feel im p close to cracking GR 90 so i just keep tryna improve my archon wiz, and i guess i should finish guardian or something.

play what you like man, the amount of time you can waste in d3 why spend it with a class you hate. It's why I have no 70 melee based characters except a monk...which i stilled bitched and drug out leveling.

Ha, ye don't get me wrong. I'm really loving this game, just questioning my dedication to a single class this season, esp with necro being so OP in s11. Really enjoying the wiz builds, for pushing archon being so damn squishy and tech is a boon for me.

Stopped farming and started doing GRs more last night. Hit GR80 with a fair amount of time spare so I imagine I can push bit higher and i've plenty of room for gear upgrades. Nearly completed Guardian, completed a 2 min nephalem rift and solo 75 now, just need to do some random other conquest. I've also solo'd nearly everything so far except doing split bounties for mats in pub games, but it's clear how beneficial being in a good clan would be for this lategame work. Realise i posted my tag without the number earlier.... quietID#1481, if I'm around I'm generally happy to help gear, or grind GRs. If i manage to find a decent tal amulet I should be able to push into the 90s.

Also, rolled my shit alt-starfire into this beast the other day. Couldn't really be bothered properly figuring out whether the shitty INT was better than +DMG% (depends on paragon etc) but I think +DMG is better at higher levels...

Everything is OP (on purpose) in story mode until you unlock more difficulties. You can bump it up to Expert and Master from the game menu.

Levelled a Necro last night so I can hit higher GRs with my Wizard levelling Gems with my Necro. Got Necro to 70 then dumped 1300 shards into kadala and ~500 DB for gearing... Instantly got ancient trag-ouls weap, good ancient krysbins, a primal ancient rathma cage, some other rathma pieces, trag pants, and most of inarius.... Insane RNG. Making an Inarius speed farmer to finish gearing so I'm not switching back to my Wiz all the time.

Is it (a trailer to be shown at BlizzCon of a super early pre-alpha version that will change multiple times over before release of) Diablo 4? An Amazon character pack for D3? A shitty new mmorpg that will make me light things on fire? ALL OF THE ABOVE???

Oh for sure. For a lot of these people, the bitching about the product gives them more enjoyment than the game ever could. I just like killing monsters and getting loot, you know? But I'm at a low-ebb in my arpg interest at the moment. There's some good stuff in development, though- Wolcen, Last Epoch, etc. New Grim Dawn expansion too.

Portable diablo 3 seems like a good idea but the game is sooo old. I can’t imagine being that excited for it.

Also, while i liked Diablo 2 a lot better for its time, I can’t imagine a remake of it being any good without significant changes.

You’d just as well make a completely different game and call it diablo 2

Unless they totally overhaul the late game in D2, adding it's own take on Rifts or something of the like, people will be complaining about stale ass bael runs and chest grinding for runes in no time with an HD release. D2's late game sucked. D3's is one of the best I've ever experienced.

Yup. Every 3 to 4 months. Next one starts sometime in December.

The current one, Delve, which features an endless mine to explore, will run until then. Before, there would be a month of races or a flashback league (several past leagues at once) bridging leagues, but not this time on account of Delve's larger than usual retention.

Has Blizzard been working on much besides Overwatch updates and content? WoW expansion came out this year I think too? Probably some Hearthstone stuff too.

Overwatch League is the worst thing to happen to that game and Blizzard's priorities. Starcraft 2 was pushed as a very competitive game by Blizzard, but it didn't feel like all their energy went into fostering a competitive community, unlike Overwatch.

Who knows, all I know is Diablo 3 is nearing being 7 years old and some sort of sequel or remake coming out towards the end of this gen, when there's millions of consoles out there, seems like a safe bet financially.

Blizzard still makes addictive games, its just that they are not that good anymore and are only made to be addictive.

Like D1,D2 and Warcraft 2,3 , Starcraft were great games that werent made with all these modern "insights" on how to keep players hooked, and thats exactly what made them so good.
