Dark Souls coming to PC...

Fuck yeah, this game was made for PC. Ill def give it another go.

Looks Likes Dark Souls Might Actually be Coming to the PC
In January, publisher Namco Bandai said that a petition to have cult hit Dark Souls ported to the PC had its "attention". Now, an Australian PC magazine is teasing something a little more substantial.

The newest PC Powerplay mag has hit newsstands, and its back page, teasing next month's issue (pictured above), isn't very subtle. It's got splashed all over it the game's trademark YOU DIED prompt, in the right font and everything.

Given the fact the magazine only hit stands this week, and that Namco are engaged in one of those awful LIKE US FOR NEWS scams over on its Facebook page, the likelihood of this being confirmed later this week actually seems pretty damn high.

Still, it's all 100% unconfirmed at this point, so don't get too excited, OK?

Still have the PS3 version unopened, was/is going to be my summer game. Might buy on PC if the fix some of the apparent frame rate issues (and if my new laptop can run it  :-\)

It's the second game in the Souls series although they're both very similar to many other From Software titles.

Will still probably finish DS on PS3 since I've put a lot of time in already, but playing it on PC at 60fps for some of those areas is going to be real tempting.

Will finally play this.  Kinda excited to see if it's as difficult as people have been saying or if everyone's just a great big pussy.

Its a game of patience and memorisation, but there is real skill in the fighting.

I quit on the 360 fairly early, but will give it another go now :)

Damn this is good news. Playing this without the technical issues could actually make it slightly better than DeSo. But still, can't change the cruddy boss fights (unless they have mod tools :lol)

Jdevs never actually release mod tools with their PC games though right?

Of course not. That won't stop someone from making a quicksave mod, though.

Awesome.

Hopefully BLIGHT TOWN FPS DEFEATED.

I'll definitely buy it again, but I'm for something, ANYTHING, other than the base game. More balances and DLCs, even if they come to consoles, would make buy it in a heartbeat.

That's sorta trivializing how difficult it would be to implement.

At best there could be a tool that creates a separate save ever time Dark Souls auto-saves.  People already exploit that in the console game by quitting and loading the save.  Or back in Demon's Souls, quitting the game entirely, or turning off the PS3, and jumping back in before the game saved.

And for as fun as it'll be to go in, change values and whatnot, it could ruin PvP like how that infinite xp glitch did on consoles.

I'm not trivializing the difficulty of implementation, I'm saying that someone somewhere will find a way to do it regardless.

more than frame rate, disabled bloom and graphical effects in lost izalith would make that place a bit more tolerable.

I don't know... they can fix the framerate based on higher-spec hardware, but they'll probably leave the F'd up camera's verticality lock-on problems intact.
