I thought last weeks was better myself but I can't fault anyone for preferring tonight's. The last three episodes of this season have been fantastic.

She's always been my favorite. Her and Don normally have the strongest stories and interactions. I'm wondering if they pursue the bit about her and Kosgrove having a deal to move up in the world together. Ken seemed to have her back in that meeting even though she was pissing on his client.

I'm not sure about the way AVclub interpreted the robot story. The robot story seems like it could go two ways: the robot pulled the screw because he knew what would happen, and wanted to prove he wasn't a robot (aka Pete acting out), orrrrr the robot did it because it was taught to, and it doesn't know anything else.

What do you think?

Who cares. You're reading to much into a passing moment of the show. One from a minor character at that.

I loved Cooper's scene. It's about time he told Don to get back to work.

The interesting thing about the murders is that the names come about to spell Dick Whitman.  :P

I suppose it is ambiguous, and since Cynthia says it "predicted" the Whitman murders, it makes it even more ambiguous. Whitman was a Marine, i.e. a robot with the power to kill, was he doing it to prove he wasn't a robot or because it was the only thing he knew how to do? Since 60s sci-fi was all about man's shortcomings told through stories of robots and aliens, it was a brilliant bit of writing in the show.

Who cares. You're reading to much into a passing moment of the show. One from a minor character at that.

Yeah that part of the show was hilarious. And I loved Pete showing Don's wifes parents what his job was.

Interesting that the over-riding story arc this year is that everyone's lives are shittier than they thought except for Roger, whose life is turning around.

I'm guessing that it represented the separation he feels from Megan now that she's pursuing her dreams. The pitch to the Miracle Whip people pretty much seals that idea because it showed earlier how much of a team the two of them were.

are you serious.

his life was on-track, he found his equal sexually, intellectually, and professionally. then she fucking LEAVES him and he's left with a death sentence should he go after her. she was RIGHT FUCKING THERE and then she wasn't. and even though she is close it doesn't fucking matter; she's gone.

People are complaining about Alexis' acting in this episode, but I thought she played a manipulative imbalanced sort of girl just right. She certainly gave me creepo vibes. Her and Pete can creep out together.

Favorite moment was Peggy's PIZZAHAUS!

And I think, beyond the symbolic connection to Don's fantasy dropping out, the elevator shaft is part of the show's growing theme of existential dread, something that was becoming common in works at the time.

$250,000? Yikes.

Ron Howard: "It was kind of funny to "Yellow Submarine" but who could afford it?"

Mr. Weiner said he was told that it was the only time a Beatles song has been in a television show, other than the band’s live performances.
Wow (obviously he's not counting covers).

I loved how they said you could never get the Beatles on a TV budget, but you could basically get the same thing. And then you see Don listen to half the Beatles song before lifting the needle.

And why was Ginsberg so angry at whatever that other song was?

Where does Pete keep his rifle now? It's a short little .22 if I remember correctly so shooting with your toe might be hard. I could see him screwing it up.
