I love Mark Wahlberg in a lot of his comedic roles: I Heart Huckabees, The Departed, Boogie Nights, ...The Happening, but he could certainly stand to be more picky when it comes to choosing jobs.

I only liked Marky Mark in Boogie Nights.

Because he's playing a dumbass. And I think he comes off like a dumbass in real life. So it was perfect casting.

I was curious so I showed it to a couple of younger friends. They thought it was hilarious. So...

To be fair while I think it looks awful, it doesn't look any worse than the 98% of comic book super hero movies that litter theaters nowadays.

Well, anecdotally, everyone in my office just saw the trailer the other day and are super hyped for it. I'm thinking it will be pretty successful.

I don't necessarily have a problem with dumb comedies. Dumb and Dumber is an amazing movie for example. But this essentially looked like Family guy stuffed into a movie.

The overall reviews aren't bad in general.

It's like a two hour family guy episode. Not bad, but I'd definitely go matinee. Or at least student or military discounts or something.
