Wrestlemania XXVIII

Did anybody watch it?  I haven't followed wrassling in a long time but W28 looked pretty exciting this year.  At least it seemed that way from the commercials.

Just watch the hell in a cell, punk and rock matches. Everything else was utter shite.

DBryan/Sheamus =  :-\  :maf  >:(
Orton/Kane =  :-\
Big Show/Cody =  :-\
Divas Match =  :-\
Hell in a Cell =  :o :D
Team Johnny/Team Long =  :)
Punk/Jericho =  :)
Rock/Cena =  :)

so, overall a decent WM. not great, not bad. just ok. I did appreciate that pretty much all the matches ended cleanly. especially the Rock/Cena match.

Only saw the second half, enjoyed CM Punk vs. Jericho, and Rock vs. Cena... not really much of a wrestling fan but I'll casually watch if my friend is ordering the PPVs. There was a bit too much time wasted with shitty music like Flo Rida and that other group. Chucking a midget at Mark Henry was my highlight of the night.

Pre-Show: Had a sorta-decent tag team title match.  Primo and Epico retained.  But who really cares about any of that except for Rosa?  :drool

WM Hour 1: Garbage.  The opening "match" for the heavyweight championship was a fucking joke...over in 18 seconds.  This wasn't even a booking issue with show time...they planned it this way.   :-\  Everything else was pretty much forgettable...it was like an hour of RAW.

HHH/Taker: Not as good a wrestling match as last year's brawl, but still really well done and HHH, Taker, and HBK added emotion/drew upon previous storylines in a way that just isn't done anymore.  Jim Ross on commentary was awesome...shame it was just for this match.

GM Tag Battle: A snoozer with a predictable ending.  Put the crowd back to sleep after the previous match woke them up coming off the horrible first hour.

Punk/Jericho: Good match; the last-minute DQ stipulation was stupid and wasn't needed, but they still made things work.

Rock/Cena: Not as good a match as it should have been, but still very enjoyable.  The Rock's win honestly surprised the hell out of me.  Too bad Cena isn't gonna go heel though.

Overall I like this more than last year's awful WM, but it was still not as good as it should have been.  Too many shitty matches and FUCKING COMMERCIALS just brought it down.

Also of note- Dave Bautista and Brock Lesnar were both at the area.  Don't know about Batista but Lesnar is supposedly going to be working some limited dates (like 10-15 over the course of a year), likely building to a Mania match next year.  Some are speculating it's going to be Taker-Lesnar.

I thought Wrestlemania was pretty damn good this year, with the beginning of the card almost shitting the whole thing up. Sheamus - Daniel Bryan being a squash match almost made me turn the car around en route to my Wrestlemania party (I got off work right at 7 EST so I wasn't able to watch the first match, but I was getting texts about it).

Undertaker - Triple H was as good as advertised. What a great way to "end the era."

Punk - Jericho took a while to really get good but the ending was phenomenal. I don't think the crowd (at the party and in Miami) was really into the match because they were still recovering from how awesome Undertaker - Triple H was.

Then, of course, we got Rock - Cena, and while, yet again, not the best technical match in the world, it was definitely entertaining and the way it ended was probably shocking to not only regular fans but the smart fans as well. I really didn't think they would let Cena lose to the Rock due to the fact Cena is the WWE's guy now and the Rock is only around every once in a while. I am definitely curious to see where they take the aftermath from this match.

the only thing the redeemed the first hour of WM was the constant DANIEL BRYAN chant that would come and go.

Zack Ryder makes me laugh my ass off, of course. Even though Foley will always be my hometown hero as far as wrestling goes.

Wrestlemania was awful. Only three matches on the card were worth watching (and only two of them were good) - everything else was either terrible or completely forgettable.

Tonight's Raw was better than Mania for some reason.

Cena stole the F5 and initially made it the 'FU' later changing it to the AA when they went TV-PG. These dudes got some history, mang. Also I'm 100% with the anti-John smarks at this point. How can you be in the business as long as he has and have absolutely no grasp of in ring psychology or selling? Just keep on derpy smiling to everything and acting like you aren't the least bit drained after every match, jackass. :yuck

Jericho is back?!  I might start watching WWE again.  I wasn't a fan of his persona for his entire career but his last year or two in WWE before he took a break were utterly awesome.
