tryna download some games but it's so annoying having to go through all these menus to see what is even available. From what I can tell neither Killzone 2 or 3 is available for download, nor any Lost Planet, etc. All these B-tier games I'd love to buy on a drunken impulse for $40~ish.

bought Dead Space 2, hoping to have some fun in a 1000 minutes time.

Also bought Virtua Fighter 4 Evo, Godhand and Journey.

Who's your internet service provider? It generally takes me less time to download games from the PSN than it takes to install them. I know that a lot of people are experiencing slow speeds, but I thought that was a regional thing. IIRC, we're both from the same country.

maybe they ain't. but it only strikes out against my ps3 if that is the case. I haven't messed since I set it up and it worked fine around the launch of Dark Souls.

Well, on a good day I get ~10 MB/s from Steam and ~5 MB/s from the PSN. For some reason downloads on my Vita are slow as hell, but I haven't tried those new patches yet.

My psp go would time out when I tried to download directly through it (persona 3 portable). I blame sony, not my technological handicap.

yeah, psn is really slow.

typically Steam and Origin download at ~2 megs a second.  can't measure it on my iphone or 360, but both are pretty fast.  anything playstation and my 3ds (can't remember wii) make me feel the internet; I'm spoiled by all the instant streaming and quick downloads.  You have games hitting 11+ gigs on PSN, meaning you'll leave your PS3 on all day to download it.  At least the Vita has a standby download option, as does the 360 and 3DS.
