Some final shots from day one:

I actually took this pic for the Shy Guy in the background, bah. Maybe I can get a good pic of him tomorrow.

There was another Mega Man walking around, 8-bit with a Lego helmet.
Sorry for the blurness, GNex doesn't have the greatest camera. (Although after today, even if I previously had reservations with the screensize, they were completely obliterated when I sat down and did some serious Bore browsin' while charging and having dinner.)
Also I think you guys were too down on the people here. The vast majority of them aren't that bad. Geeks and nerds, but what else would they be? I only saw 4 or 5 super obese people today, the rest were either "normal" or Demi-size. Maybe not even that big. And I didn't notice any smells until I got on the subway home and these four PAXers were in the way of the door and I had to squeeze by them.
Definitely some ass smell there.
But otherwise it was fine. You guys just like to blow things out of proportion.

This was a woman I shared an outlet with. She's 35 and the biggest gamer in her family. She said she almost cried when she got onto the show floor.

Also I don't see the big deal over cosplay. I mean if we're gonna say you shouldn't be ashamed to play a handheld in public is it really that much different to say it's fine to dress up for a few days at a gaming convention? I mean, OK, snicker at these people on the subway and trains to the place, but once inside? I say they're fine. And some of them are really good too. The bad ones, well, we laugh at people poorly dressed in society anyways to that's free range.
Also the concert at the end of the day was pretty rocking, even if I couldn't understand most of the white balding middle-aged rapper's words... Definitely looking them up (Super Commuters.) I liked 3 of their songs.
