/r/atheism is the worst place on the internet.
Here I am visiting Carl Sagan's grave reading a copy of The God Delusion while telling everyone in shouting distance that Richard Dawkins is the best and God ain't real.
I don't care what anyone says, those dudes are more annoying than the misguided people that twist the bible to serve their shitty belief system.
Reddit is pretty great otherwise. It's me reddit birthday soon so I need to go find some cats to photograph.
r/atheism isn't that bad. I don't see how they're more annoying when you take in the fact that they mostly use it as a safe haven, hence the circlejerk. Where irl will you be able to say the things they say on r/atheism with hostility in America? Hence the circle jerk. A lot of the posts are fake, and sometimes very self absorbed, and there are too many fucking famous quote/facebook screenshots rather than discussing actual matters related to atheism and religion, but occasionally some good nuggets come from r/atheism.
This being a good example:

But the whole "r/atheism is a cesspool where atheists thump their chests" is hilarious given the circumstances, especially since those guy you said who twist the bible to serve their belief systems are the people who are in charge. Name one atheist politician in America or people who can say what the people in r/atheism joke about on a regular basis in real life without any sign of hostility.
That said, I read r/freethought and not r/atheism.
