This is pretty harsh, man. Skyrim is a pretty broken piece of shit, though, considering all the patches they've released so far for it.

I thought you were a fan of the Elder Scrolls games?

But yeah, poker dice is awesome...

And Sceneman's game is great too.

What I find amusing is everyone who is so allegedly offended by OMG SKYRIM IS BUSTED BLAH BLAH BLAH can you please suggest to me another massive single player experience this gen that is honestly better?  Oh, no you can't because it doesn't exist, now please shut the fuck up and go back to wanking over whether games are "art" or not or whatever it is you fucking people like to do, cause obviously it isn't playing quality games.

I can say, with no hyperbole, that Dark Souls is a much, much better game than Skyrim.

Dark Souls is pretty different from Skyrim gameplay-wise, but having achieved 1000/1000 in both titles, I found Dark Souls to be a much more rewarding and thrilling experience. But hey, the game isn't for everyone.

My favourite part of Skyrim was exploring with the relaxing music. Man, that was cool. Everything else was kind of a chore. But you know, apples, oranges, different strokes, creative work is of course all very subjective etc etc etc

I am looking forward to checking out this DLC at the end of the day.

Since Morrowind just hit its 10th anniversary I think it's time for another playthrough. Maybe by the time I'm done the rest of skyrim's dlc will be finished.

It's called a teaser. They'll give out more info at E3. Most likely at the Microsoft press conference.

Skyrim's Dawnguard downloadable content is out on Steam right now, Bethesda's Pete Hines announced at QuakeCon today. You can buy it for $19.99.

The PlayStation 3 release is still up in the air, Bethesda added on its blog today, because the company isn't satisfied with how it's running

Nah, not any more.  When I first sold out of the game in '99, I had 7 pieces- 5 of which were Beta. :punch  I just drastically downsized my card pool again (going back to school is expensive, who knew) and sold my 3 Candelabra of Tawnos for about $200 each.

I sold my MtG collection before moving to Japan in 2001, and have been unwilling to purchase anything related to it except for the XBLA game, which is reasonably non-expandable.  :-[

Played about 12 or so hours of Dawnguard; just beat the main quest, but I've still got some other side quests and stuff to do before I'm finished with it. Overall, I loved it. There's nothing truly amazing here, as in don't expect this to be Skyrim's Shivering Isles, but it's more of the same kind of stuff that I loved about the base game is a nice little questline package with some great new locations, characters, and things to do. Definitely worth $20 if all you want is MORE, MORE, MORE.

There are new dungeons and such unrelated to the main quest [as in sidequest-related], but I don't think there's anything that's just out by itself.

I'm only up to 75 hours, but that's partially attributed to being slightly burned out on Bethesda-style RPGs after replaying a huge chunk of New Vegas recently. Dawnguard was certainly a good excuse to come back to it, though.

I think you get to fight more advanced dragons or something.

No idea how you could you could put that much time into Skyrim, I got 1000/1000 at 90 hours and that was a 20 hour grind to find all the shouts.

ive barely played shit else all year.  fuck, even right now all im thinking about is booting it up.   as to how i spent so much time on it, i played on master the whole way through, and up until like 70 hours in anything but a one-on-one fight would have me dead in seconds so i had to play real slow.  i also spend tons of time doing every single quest i come across, i have most stats close to being maxed out, and i dont use quick travel a lot because i like walking through the scenery and making "to-do" lists for various regions before moving on to other ones.  other than that i just put time into it like every fucking day.  i hope they put out more expansions soon cuz i never want it to end :uguu

I'm glad someone else loves the hell out of this game.  I'm just about to break 300 hours, and the only major questline I've finished is the mages guild questline, haven't even finished Dawnguard.  Not sure what level I am, 64 or 67 or something.

I can't wait for more DLC.  I tend to put it down for weeks at a time because I'm scared of finishing it before more DLC comes. :-[

i know i said i'd finish the main quest this weekend, but i ended up finding a bunch of cool ruins and like 3 new questlines (including one where you go around killing super versions of each monster!) while walking to riften so...

also i'd recommend doing some more main questlines.  the mages guild was my first one and it ended up being my least favorite.  i just finished up the thieves guild and it was really good, and it gets you some pretty cool armor!

I too found the mages guild questline pretty unsatisfying, I'm really glad to hear it is one of the weaker ones.  I'm a fair way through the thieves guild questline so I should try to wrap it up for that armour - although I have my bitchin' glass armour with double enchantments on everything that I'd be hesitant to give up.

Last thing I did was collect a guard shield from each of the holds - that led to some fun in Falkreath where I got attacked by two dragons in the middle of the night and when I took them down about 6-7 guards came out with their torches lit to inspect the skeletons.  Man I felt badass.

Only thing I'm a bit bummed about in this game compared to Oblivion is that you can't put stuff on display and have it stay there.  I would have liked to lay out all the guard shields, but they explode when I leave the room.
