A decent computer.

Specifically, a good CPU. i5 or higher. Otherwise, most decent graphics cards will do. Plus you need to mod your Wii to rip the game... kinda.

If you have a 4GHz CPU and a decent GPU, then you're all set for playing everything smoothly. Just grab the latest stable release from the website. I don't think you need to dabble in the settings beyond raising the resolution and adding AA.

Setting the controllers seems to be easy peasy too. Well, except for the ones requiring lots of waggle and M+.

Core2Duo + GeForce 9 level card for GameCube and 2D Wii games. 4 cores + GeForce 400 level card for Wii games.

Dolphin works out of the box. No BIOS downloading needed. Just get an ISO of the game (4.37 GB) and you are ready. Wiimote is emulated via mouse.

wiimote is also emulated via any PC pad and 360 controller.

This dude will jump at the drop of a dime for a Big Gulp but when it's time to do some actual work he flops like a trout. You soft doughy little man.

Thats a pretty bitchy thing to say demi, unless it's like bro-joshing, whatever that is. It probably involves naked wrestling.

Most games work pretty well on Dolphin, although there are some that just plain do not work [like Super Mario Galaxy].

Apparently Galaxy is playable now although you have to jump through some hoops to get it to work and you probably need a beast of a machine. The only games I've had severe issues with so far were Bully, which just didn't work, Red Steel, which won't let you move, and Forgotten Sands which had some fairly nasty graphical glitches but was technically playable.

Yes. There are even reskin packs for things like 360 buttons in Xenoblade.

You need a dedicated whimsy card, or else your CPU is forced to do whimsy emulation and it'll take a pretty big hit.

I ripped some discs from my Wii to an external and just fired it up.

It ain't no thang anymore. Just set a few settings like any emulator.

The only crappy part is using the wii-mote, a GameCube game or something like New Super Mario Bros. is golden. Haven't had really any major issues.

Couldn't be assed to figure out to map the wii-mote to the mouse enough to make it "proper" and just played controller games until I gave up. Would probably want a bluetooth thing or whatever you need for a wii-mote anyway.
