well, the good thing about sa is that it has these numbers that appear any time you read a thread that show the amount of new posts that have showed up since you read it. so while it has catch all threads, it's easy to catch up.

Yeah, obviously you want to keep the idiots who are "slumming" here for their two week ban confined to one thread to bitch about GAF, but having one thread for movie/music/tv/whatever discussion I feel just stifles new talk on shit. I know for a fact I don't talk about any of that shit because I have zero desire to wade through a giant ass thread where probably 4/5 of the posts after mine aren't going to be related in any way.
