It's really interesting to see cunt take off in the Americas. When I was growing up I never heard the word used in movies. Now it's everywhere.

Where I live cunt isn't exclusively an insult. A dude you know who may be a 'lil unscrupulous, but still pretty sweet and generous, he's a "good cunt". A good cunt can be a bro that is pretty sweet to hang out with. There was a write up on this topic at a popular bar downtown. Apparently a canadian tourist was taking major offence at the use of the word 'cunt'. A friend of mine tried explaining the colloquial meaning of cunt in these lands, but she wasn't having a bar of it.
