I went through this research in preparation for Diablo III's release. You want the Logitech G9X. The SteelSeries and Razer mice all look shiny and fun, but you want a mouse built for MEN WHO CLICK MICE, not spastic Korean pro-gamers. Get the G9X.

i had a g9, the cord broke inside where it meets the mouse

they sent me a free g9x and it broke in the same spot

i still trust logitech and bought a g400 and havent had any problems, so im thinking design flaw on that one

The g400 is reasonably priced and seems like it has everything I *need*... however the g9x has everything I *want*, right down to little 4 gram customizable weights that little children can choke on.  It's like trying to decide between a perfectly serviceable bourbon and a fine scotch... FUCK I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

Currently using the CM Storm Spawn....perfect for claw grip.  So is the G9X.

G9X is the second from left. Storm Spawn is the ugly bastard in red.

yeah, how you hold the mouse might affect your decision.  All it comes down to is if you rest your palm on the mouse or only use your fingers to move it around.

G9/G9x includes interchangeable grips for both styles.  I have the G9 and liked it a lot, but eventually replaced it for the wireless G700 for my desktop; gonna bring it out again for my laptop because it's a small mouse.  Software lets you keep multiple profiles to switch between with a button on the bottom.  You can remap every button to a keyboard command (true for all logitech mice) and almost play Diablo 3 with one hand.

G400 is actually an updated  MX518.  I never read up on the exact difference, but the MX518 is one of the top gaming mice.  It's only dated if you care about onboard memory or higher DPI or adjustable weights.

G700 is what I use.  For the expensive price it's wireless (or wired if you plug it in), has tons of buttons, and comfortable to use.

I briefly used the G500, which is almost like the G9 in an MX518 shell.  Can't say more on it.  Tried the Razer Naga Hex and didn't like it.  That had 6 side buttons, instead of the normal Naga's numberpad amount, but all those years of Logitech condition made it feel off to me.

Currently using the CM Storm Spawn....perfect for claw grip.  So is the G9X.

G9X is the second from left. Storm Spawn is the ugly bastard in red.

That second from is the Roccat something or other, right? I remember reading good things about it as an upgrade for the MX518.

oh, and Roccat has a new mouse with achievements.  No joke:

I've been using a shitty vertical mouse for forever and it's really starting to fuck with my wrist, pretty much anything will be better!  We'll see how the G500 treats me but it looks like what I need.

Best bluetooth gaming mouse is the Razer Orochi -best bluetooth mouse period. Been using a Razer Naga Epic for a few days- its ok but less portable than an Orochi- but the number buttons are useful.

Been considering a new mouse as well. Need something with enough buttons for gw2, so I'm most interested in programmable button count and comfort grip.

because I am an INCORRIGIBLE CONSUMER WHORE AND HOW I went out and got the SteelSeries Diablo III mouse. (it helped I had a Best Buy gift card what needed using).

It's basically a SteelSeries Sensei with a few less features (hot swapping profiles/DPI, programmable LED) and D3 branding. It's also $20-30 cheaper than the Sensei.

I'm quite happy with it so far - it feels very comfortable in the hand and it has really satisfying, meaty clicks. Will report back after 3+ hours of D3 clicking.

Ended up getting a G500 and it's awesome.  I'm guessing it's kind of like a suped up G400- it has the weights n' shit you can put in it and adjustable dpi up to 5700.  Love the larger size of it, feels great.

I use this, I quite like it, basically bought it because I found one online super cheap and needed to replace my Logitech G7 because the receiver was crapping out. I liked my G7 more but the Razer is solid.
