B-b-b-b-bump!

I got to meet the Lennedsies this afternoon and, unsurprisingly, they're awesome! Almost twice as awesome as they are online. We met at Fitz's and had some good root beer that would shame Diunx and some not so kosher sandwiches. Lens hubby is really good people, i.e. I don't understand why he's not yet a member of the bore. I think we should vote to kick someone out to make room. And their baby is the cutest thing ever, photos don't do her justice. Almost 3 hours flew by in what felt like minutes, good times.

At this rate, and if I don't run into a creepy stalker real soon, I might change my impression of internet people. Everyone I met so far has been pleasant, almost too pleasant. Anyhow, STL bore should definitely plan a meetup, it should be fun.

We had so much fun! I think my hubs is in love.

He's already planning future outings to drag you to.

The baby slept for the first 2 hours, at least, even though it was totally loud in the restaurant. Then we woke her up to socialize and eat, she was kinda cranky at me and angrily sucked her pacifier for a bit, but then something magical happened! She dropped the paci and smiled like a mad woman at Shaka! We'd be talking and look over at her, and she'd be smiling ear to ear at him.

Next time we'll get pics when she's in happy baby mode.

And to answer everyone's internal question, yes, Shaka is the most beautiful man ever created. Dat smile

Edit: Feel free to post the pics. Omg her wearing her bunny hat you gave her...

I'm taking the hat and her stuffed bunny to show my mom today. Sooo cute! (The chocolate stays with me though...

I don't know if standards is the right word. While I've never really been one to blend my online life with my real life, I think I could easily break that trend. Right now, I think my main thing -- which I admittedly comes across is kind of lame -- is just that since the kid was born, the wife and I don't really get out much. And given that she's a stay-at-home-mom for the time being, I feel guilty in general any time I go out without her subjecting her to more of what she does all day every day. This would especially be true of something like "going out for a night out on the town to meet some peeps from the internet!"

We could get a sitter and both go out. But again, that could be a tough sell. "Come on honey, we'll get a sitter and go hang out with Shaka Khan and Positive Touch!"

And of course, no offense is meant by that remark, I assure you.

I have all my teeth and its highly likely I'm not related to my husband.

Getting out of the house with the baby, having adult conversation was so nice, and I get out almost daily for work. Although much of my work day is spent listening to crying and whining... I'm sure she wouldn't mind getting out since she's at home all the time.
