8 out of 13 is far from bad, and no where poor enough to warrant the amount of bitching Tales fans like to do.

And what about Tempest?  The Narikiri Dungeons? Radiant Mythologies? etc?

And also, the problem lies more with how inconsistent Namco is, rather than any actual track record they seem to have. If people could always expect that a mainline Tales would get localized, there wouldn't be any complaints. It's the fact that everyone has to bite their nails waiting until Namco gives the sign before each title is why the fanbase is like they are.

Both.  Game sold amazingly well, and they probably did this because it was the most recent.

I'm liking the look. It dosen't look like typical anime fantasy that the Tales games have been pushing. Though if it is like XIII-2 beyond just re-using assets and also lacks a full party, I won't be very interested.

I mean, I think the series is trash, and the fans are creepy as fuck, but if we're just talking about the likelihood of any given Tales getting translated, the odds aren't in favour of it.  Especially since Graces f and Abyss most likely fell short of Namco's expectations.

Don't know about Graces but wasn't Abyss 3DS like impossible to find after awhile?  I know it was sold out on Amazon and I saw a lot of complaining from people trying to find it in stores.  Hell, even Play Asia was sold out of it, forcing me to go to Akihabara (and when I went back to the store a few weeks later, it was history there as well).
