Anyway, I hope if this is a XIII-3 it ditches the monster stuff and either goes back to having actual party members complete with options of who will be in it or just 3 set characters. I really enjoyed XIII and kind of enjoyed XIII-2. Here's hoping a XIII-3 takes the best from both games and ditches the worst to really be a good game. At least have the quality of soundtrack of XIII-2.

Yes I do enjoy XIII quite a bit. It was a pretty good game, but I do wish it had ended with XIII-2. Don't really understand why the have to drag this out.

But I do really enjoy the music of VIII and the overall look of the game. Really like those character designs.

Maybe I'm generalizing, but I got the impression that most of FFXIII's fans are people who don't play other RPG series. I'm still loyal enough to pick up pretty much any game even remotely related to Final Fantasy, but I've learned to keep my expectations low and wait for a sale.

SMT and DQ replaced Final Fantasy as my go-to jrpg series years ago. I didn't even buy XIII-2 despite really liking the demo. I probably won't ever play that game.
