http://bible.org/article/gap-theory-genesis-chapter-one

Quote
The gap theory postulates that an indefinite span of time exists between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. This time span is usually considered to be quite large (millions of years) and is also reputed to encompass the so-called “geologic ages.” Proponents of the gap theory also postulate that a cataclysmic judgment was pronounced upon the earth during this period as the result of the fall of Lucifer (Satan) and that the ensuing verses of Genesis chapter 1 describe a re-creation or reforming of the earth from a chaotic state and not an initial creative effort on the part of God.

Uhhh I'm pretty sure that objective research proves there's no difference, thus no need to reconcile anything. As stated, as happened.

See, it's that sort of design problem that led to the delays. There was a lot of trial and error involved.

A fact is an observable reality, something that can be quantified or measured, or God’s Inerrant Truth as revealed through the Bible.

Examples:

* The table is made of wood.
* Washington DC is the capital of the USA.
* Water freezes at 32 degrees F.
* Jesus died to take away all our sins.
* God created the world and all life in seven 24-hour days, less than 10 thousand years ago.

An opinion is a matter of taste, a view or judgement about which people might reasonably disagree, or a “scientific” claim that contradicts Biblical truth.

Examples:

* Blue is prettier than yellow.
* My mom bakes the best chocolate chip cookies in town.
* Mr. Jones is a better candidate for Mayor than Mr. Smith.
* The Universe is several billion years old.
* Humans evolved from apes.

Maybe if they flung less shit around you wouldn't have this problem.

So what you're saying is that the difficulty nerfs in Inferno Acts 2-4 and the increased drop rate is like Jesus dying for our sins?  I guess I can get behind that... when do we get a Book of Mormon to get rid of useless modifiers on lv61+ items though?

oh, you little humans and your LINEAR TIME

So I've been thinking and one wonders why god created an arbitrary unit of time -- a yohm, as it were -- to measure his own work efficiency, and why he felt the need to share his wholly arbitrary work metric with the hebrew tribes at some unknown point. unless god has to punch a timecard for an ubergod, and needed the hebes to back him up in case the celestial auditors wondered about the extra half-yohm he clocked when he was at tgif?

"I MADE THE WORLD"

"oh wow, how long did it take YHVH"

"UH, ROUGHLY SEVEN REVOLUTIONS OF THIS WORLD AROUND THE SUN"

"what? you said everything revolves around the earth!"

"UH, ER, I MEANT SEVEN INDETERMINATE LENGTHS OF TIME WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT DIRECTLY CORRESPOND TO THE PRESENCE OF THE SUN IN THIS GEOGRAPHICAL REGION"

"ooookay, so if these lengths of time are indeterminate in size, why did you specifically assert seven of them"

"FUCK YOU LITTLE FRUITS, START PACKING ANIMALS 'CUZ IT'S FLOOD TIME"

*shifty eyes*
