My buddy lives in Manteo, says he had a rep around there for being a real asshole to everyone. Loved the Andy Griffith show, though, one of my all-time favorites. Totally holds up today, too.

A Face in the Crowd and No Time For Sergeants are two of my favorite movies, too. A Face in the Crowd was so prescient about today's television that it's a little spooky.

The AG Show was so amazing. Even as a kid I found it funny, and the life lessons it taught were always well done. It was the MLP of its time in many ways

Yeah, back when I was a kid and we only got like 6 or 7 channels one of them was TBS and they played the hell out of the AG show.  Whenever I'd hear that whistling come on the tv, I'd stop whatever else I was doing and watch.  Such great shows.  RIP Mr. Griffith, you made childhood and life much more bearable.

AG Show was my shit when I was a kid. I'd watch it every time it was on and my grandma had all the tapes. She had and still has a huge hard on for Andy Griffith she called him Andy Griffin. I should call her today :(
