Spent the whole day reading comics and sleeping.

We went out to buy some ingredients for our all-American dinner of Vietnamese-style basil rolls and are making that stuff now.

Don't give a shit about going out to watch fireworks- it's still hot and there's a major thunderstorm warning anyway.

I'd feel like I wasted the day but don't care, since I'm off the rest of the week and we're going on a small vacation anyway.

Went to the horse track and bet on some ponies. Lost $20 on a slot machine and won it back on some video poker. Picked my mom up at the airport at 9PM. I haven't seen her in a year. On the way back to mi casa, fireworks everywhere.
