I watched all of the SSF4 semifinals Friday and have watched Marvel and some KOF on and off on Saturday. Maybe I missed some other streams, but I hate that so much hasn't been shown on camera this year. :/

Seems like despite the amount of entrants in other games, the huge, hype crowd is solely there for Marvel and SF on the main stage.

: Everything else seems "dead" in comparison.

I've been watching on and off. I've seen a bunch of good SF4 matches and early MvC3 pools, but I think I missed pretty much everything else so far.

Actually the ST tournament was pretty amazing too. Now a Tekken Tag 2 exhibition is on... the only thing that kills hype more than Tekken is MK9.

I had to drive home from Athens, GA tonight...the trip took an hour and a half and although I couldn't see it except for at stop lights, I had the stream going on my iPhone the whole way back. Just the commentary and crowd noise alone during KOF was SO FUCKING HYPE.

And now the hype levels have been destroyed by a Snoop Dogg video shoot and TTT2 exhibition play that nobody gives a shit about-- TTT2 will be HUGE at EVO when it's part of the line up next year, sure. But get to fuckin' Marvel already.

I watched the ST finals on a stream archive this morning. That was pretty awesome...better than some of the other games they had featured.

The finals were only a few matches since it was tag-teams.

IIRC it was Ryu, Julia, Rolento, Chun-Li, and Rufus.

2. EG|Ricky Ortiz + CVPR|PR Balrog (Rufus/Ryu)
3. RZR|Fuudo + MCZ|Tokido (Ryu/Chun-Li)
4. coL.CC|Combofiend + Mike Ross (Julia/Marduk)

They didn't stream anything else from the tournament on the Evo streams. Don't know if someone else did.

With the updates coming to SFxTK we'd probably be seeing less Ryus in there, but the game may very well be dead after this Evo. Still you never know- 3rd Strike wasn't popular at first either.

Infiltration was in a league of his own this year. Korea is now the best at SF4, KOF13, Starcraft, and maybe Tekken. True e-sport gods.

I think the shooting game scene is pretty much the only area where Japan is still untouchable.

SF was definitely not as hype this year as before, but Infiltration was definitely the real deal, no one even came close to his level of play.

Goddamn, those raging demons were insane, some of those looked like they wouldn't have connected. That guy seriously has mastered that move to the pixel.
