Fuck Pilotwings, that's 40 Club Nintendo coins for $5.

I have over 2,000 coins. I'll pass, plus I already registered Pilotwings and Steel Diver.

How about spreading the love? :-*

Anyone caught touting the "Nintendo doesn't need next-gen graphics, because they make games that are FUN!" line of thinking should be forced to play Steel Diver and Pilotwings Resort, Clockwork Orange-style.

There's nothing worth buying. I did pick up DK 94 download code, though. That game makes my peepee chubby.

comes from a SEGA fanboy, ouch.

Take it to heart, distinguished mentally-challenged fellow.  Don't give Konami money for a product you don't think you'll like that supports a direction you don't like just because it has a particular name on the box.  I don't do that with SEGA, even being as much of a fantard for them as I am, and as a fellow CV nut who doesn't want MercurySteam to stick around, I wish you could do at least as much here.

wtf the game isnt even out and yet you go on a nonsensical rant getting riled up over nothing when there are clearly worse problems with this world than a fucking sale of a video game. Who is the distinguished mentally-challenged fellow now?

Santa, as someone who has been fucked over by Konami more than you have - hey, at least your preferred series of choice still exists, right? - just give them the finger and cross your other ones that in the future, something bright will happen to CV. At least it's not a multi-entry rpg series with a large spanning world with over a 1000 years of history that you've loved for over 12 years that will never, ever, get a true ending to.

So, I have about $300 in GameStop giftcards, and my brother is gonna buy me a 3DSXL for my birthday for helping him move... looks like it's time to go on a game buying spree. I want Kid Icarus and NSMB2. Does Tales of the Abyss have anything new in it? Already beat it on PS2.

I might also put some of those giftcards towards a Wii-U.

Yeah, it's huge. And the fact that people claim the IQ is "no different than the original 3DS" is driving me *nuts*, because it's *impossible*. Gah, now I really want to see it for myself.

I'm not riled up.  If you can't make sense of my "rant", then I guess your English is worse than I'd thought.

And yes, there are worse problems in the world.  So why aren't you in Africa hand-feeding children medicine and tasty food whilst reading stories to them, Caped Crusader?  "I cannot solve all the problems in life so I won't do anything about any problems" is both stupid logic and a poor personal philosophy, but hey, you're welcome to it.

I just don't want to hear word one of you bitching about this game when you get it.  Not a word.  Nothing more about MercurySteam, either.  You've cast your vote.

And you're still the distinguished mentally-challenged fellow.  Perhaps even more aggressively so than before, what with presenting the ol' "worse problems in the world" chestnut.

look i wasnt even talking to you in my thread before you decided to stink it up. Are you obsessed with me or something?

MercurySteam is shit and so are you.

Nintendo's reason for making the DSi XL was to go after older customers.  Then a funny thing happened on the way to the bank and they found that the extremely successful XL was selling considerably more to younger customers.  So I very much doubt they went into the 3DS XL thinking "let's scoop us up some oldies".  More likely, the thought process was "everyone really liked the DSi XL, this lets us up the battery life, and we can charge more for nearly the same components and finally stem the bleeding from hardware a bit".

Put my thoughts into a post.

DSi XL was well received. Pretty much everyone knew an XL of the 3DS would happen eventually, the question was if it would be before or after the redesign. TBH it's kind of in the middle. It's slightly redesigned (yay actual buttons for start/select/home) but not as drastic a departure as any of the GBA or DS revisions. The wait for a sexy 3DS design continues.

Are people interested in buying 3DS games digitally? iirc games are the same price, can't resell them, no transferring/backing up saves, purchases are tied to hardware, along with other problems.  It's great that games are coming out digitally and on physical media but Nintendo's online is still juvenile.

I had no idea they intend on selling them for the same price, not that Sony's $4 discount is what they should be aiming for. As for saves, they're not being saved to the SD card for easy backup/saves?

Will system transfer *at least* take care of them?

If not, I won't even bother. I'm already upset about not being able to transfer my Pushmo and Fire Emblem's saves.

I like the idea of having my library always handy without having to lug a case of carts wherever I go. Since I always buy games new and rarely sell them anyways, it isn't a big deal for me.

You send it to Nintendo to get it fixed, and they either fix it or system transfer it themselves to a new one like they did for broken Wii's...?

If you buy a new system after one breaks you're a chump.

Look, man, it's really simple:

1.  You call Nintendo and explain your situation in an appropriately reverent tone. They give you some packing instructions and an address and maybe chide you a bit about being more careful with your system.
2. You find a box and some packing material, and carefully pack the system.
3. You take it to USPS, or UPS, or FedEx, or wherever, there are like a million places to mail stuff right in your town.
4. You pay for the postage, hand the package over.
5. You go home and wait.
6. Your fixed or new system will arrive in a few days or a week or whatever, just have patience.
7. When it arrives, enjoy your repaired or new system with all your files in place.

See how easy it is? I don't see why people make such a big deal out of it. Who wants to go through the confusing hassle of remembering an account password and downloading recovery data from a "cloud" (whatever the hell that is). With Nintendo's system all the heavy lifting of file transferral is conveniently done for you.

The game save situation is a complete mess on the 3DS and Vita.  Vita has the leg up since you can back up saves on a PC or PS3, but saves are tied to the games, meaning if you want to back up your save for [Secret Vita Game], that's a ~4 gig save file.  3DS is the same except you can't back it up at all.  I don't get why there isn't just a separate save file.  (I do.  Fear or hacking save files like on the PSP and Wii.  Still sucks.)

Reserved a 3DS XL a few days ago.  Wish I could trade in my original towards it, but I have to do the stupid system transfer thing first.   :dizzy  Guess it doesn't matter since I'm going to get TTT2 from Gamestop and can just trade it towards that instead.

I just want the XL model to be comfortable- the original 3DS is the only handheld I have ever owned that hurts my hands after like 10 minutes of use.
