If you missed the Deus Ex HR flash sale, it's cheaper by a couple quarters (77% off, $7) on Amazon still: http://www.amazon.com/Deus-Ex-Revolution-Standard-Download/dp/B005HRZ29K/

Steamworks game.

First day haul:
- Syberia bundle
- Grimrock
- Noitu 2
- Trine 2
- SR3

This is crazy compared to what I ended up buying during the underwhelming Christmas sale. Going by my list the Flash deals and Community Choice are evidently a success.

If you didn't use the Serious Sam 3 coupon from Raptr, they've fixed it so you can't stack on the discount price anymore.

Grimrock
Deus Ex HR
Portal 2 (what can I say, I was lazy and never got it since there was an X360 copy at my old job)
Trine 2

For about a little more than $20.  Shit be CRAY.

I have Heroes of MM VI, Rayman Origins and Ys Origins on my wish list... I'm not buying shit that's only 50% off. :P

Just Call of Juarez at $2.50 so far for me. I keep going to purchase things, then thinking "Dude, you have enough games. You have tons of shit you will never play," then removing them from my cart. They'll be there at the holiday sale if I want them, at the same discounts or less. I'll still pick up a few things, but I can see myself only spending $20-30 total this time. Finally starting to get some common sense, I guess.

I can only aim for the 2D games or the 3D games that run fine on low settings/old PCs.  :(

Does anyone here recommend Terraria?

I know it's cliche to compare it to Minecraft, but it does have a good number of similarities in terms of possibly endless playtime though it has more action-adventure elements to it, so if you like that type of thing it's a solid pick up at $2-3.

Not a bad haul considering I've played none of these games before.

Planning on getting more if stuff pops up that catches my eye. I really need a better computer to play the newer games though.

Don't get it on PC if you're interested in those upcoming updates-- the PC version is way behind the console versions and hasn't even received the earlier patches yet.

Postal 3 any thoughts? I was gonna get it for Xmas but never got around to it since it wasn't on steam. Now that it is I'm tempted by its $17.99 price. That and Quantum Conumdrum look good so far. I hate that the indie bundles all have crap I already own so there's no point in buying them even if there are games I want in them due to the sale.

Binding of Isaac is amazingly worth it.  There are people on my friends list with 100+ hours ranked on it.  I think I've only played 10 or 20.

Tomb Raider games (flash deal) are very much worth it...if you haven't bought them the last hundred time they were this cheap.

and please vote for Rage!

its just as you said.

They have a flash deal for Half Life Complete which has Half Life, Opposing force, Blue shift, Half Life 2, EP1 and EP2, etc (deathmatch, Lost Coast) for 75% off. I hope Andrex didn't pull the trigger at that point.

Just got HL2: Episode 1 and HL2: Episode 2

Thanks steam

Don't buy AssCreed Revelations, they're sure to do an AssCreed franchise sale during one of the dailies and you might be able to snag it at 75% off (at worst for the 66% off it is right now).

My pleasure. Isaac rules.

I'm not sure if the game automatically installs with Wrath of the Lamb, but if it doesn't you might wanna start off with the vanilla game to get acquainted with it. Expansion makes it harder & might be a tad overkill. Your call though.

I don't know if the Binding of Isaac DLC makes it easier, but I played for the first time in months and finally finished it a second time.  I don't think I had to do the last two levels to reach the heart last time I finished it.

The expansion adds a lot of powerful items, but also adds some more powerful enemies. With the right items, you're basically unstoppable though.
