It comes with static cling stickers.

You put the red one on when it's off, and switch it with the green sticker when you turn it on.

Maybe it's just me. Sony puts out these accessories you're meant to keep plugged in (camera, japanese dvr thing) and it means you have a cable sticking out the front of the system. It's just not very organized.

mere $400,what a bargain--console that costs $150 to make,two plastic $15 controllers(at best) and a game that costs like $1 to print

I can't believe that MS is selling $400 360 in 2012 and Sony is desperately trying to make PS3 look like some cheap Chinese knock-off,something is terribly wrong with this generation gaming industry.If somebody predicted that in 2005 I would immediately call waaaambulance.

On topic,16GB model should be pretty cheap(especially if top loader thing is true)...$149-$199
I guess some kind of cheap SSD(flash) will be inside,enough to match the performance of standard PS3 drive.Should be enough for few games,nothing to moan about really.

There really needs to be a USB port on the back of the PS3. During my twice-yearly usage of the Move camera (lol) it's a pain to run the chord through the front.

That's what got me about the old slim PS3. It's slimmer, yeah, but it's still huge. Looks like one of those small pizza boxes.

The slim versions of the PS1 and PS2 are so cool. I guess it's harder to pull that off this gen.

If it's that low, and there's some deal to go with it (game or w/e) around the holidays, I might buy a second PS3. I still use my PS3 for media stuff. Just need HBO go to complete it.

most newer games don't require much of an install, it'll be fine for the casual player

This is like the 360 4GB, just a bullet point so they can say they have a "cheap" system, there is surely gonna be an HDD slot there to install your own extra storage.
