Yeah from what I read you need very thick lensed nostalgia goggles on. I watched some videos and the janky PS1 gameplay and physics look pretty horrendous today. Skate 2 4 lyfe

THPS is still fun. I leave THPS2 on my PSP for the occasional game. Remake looks bad

Its by the same geniuses who brought us Tony Hawk Ride. A whole group of us were on Group Chat and just talking about how much this game pissed us off.

Thankfully I own THPS2X

Well then you wouldn't know.

And you missed out on one of the best games series period in the 90s. Or 2000s. Whatever it came out.

Bought it and played it a bit. It's "okay". By that I mean for someone like me who played Tony Hawk pretty casually its a decent nostalgia fix but its certainly not a great xbla title or anything. Something like Trials even though a completely different type of game shits all over this from a value proposition. It doesn't have enough tracks. No track creator. The physics are a bit wonky and you can get stuck in areas constantly dying because of it. And for the hardcore audience since it reverts back to the nature of Tony Hawk 1 that means it doesn't have endless combos which is what the Tony Hawk fans came to love.

i used to watch friends play it but I could never get into the combos and shit. I missed out on the early 90s fighting game craze for the same reason. I'm better with that sort of thing now. maybe i should just buy thps3 on ps2

Not a bad port, but you're better off buying THPS2X since it's BC and playing THPS with a touch screen is weird

Reverts are DLC? Really?

I loaned my Xbox out and am getting it back tomorrow and was gonna buy this first thing in the morning. Is it really that shit? Maybe I will pick it up on PS3 so I can at least share it.
