I actually considered watching the Endurance Run instead of playing Persona 4.  But someone on GAF stitched together the run time and it's just shy of 100 hours.  From what I've heard the average playtime is ~70 hours.

I'm still going back and forth on playing the PS2 version, which I've owned since launch, or getting the Vita version.

There's an anime? but wouldn't that just stick to the main story and ignore all the sidequests and social link stuff?

I'll probably get the Vita game since I can play while doing other stuff.  It's harder to sit down and play long console games these days, even ones I enjoyed like Xenoblade.  One of these days I need to look into dolphin since it'll be easier to continue that way.

I was also under the impression the fighting game was retelling of Persona 4.  Sounds like it's a sequel instead.

but if you just play it you will miss out on Jeff and Vinny's commentary. that's part of the appeal IMO

The anime doesnt tell the whole story, it only gets to about... half way? The "true ending" isnt even out in Japan yet.

The fighting game isn't really a retelling either. It takes place after.

If you havent played it, get Vita version cause lord knows you could play something on there.

I thought the anime did cover everything.  No idea and not sure if I want to watch it since I'm planning on playing the Vita version.

It is absolutely a sequel to P4.  The Story Mode is done by the same team and takes place a few months after P4.

I have no idea what that is...if that's the halfway point, how are they gonna finish it with one more episode?   :-\

Well the anime does skip a lot of stuff... lol

If you cut a lot of fat from P4 it would be a much shorter game.

Nope.

Takes place 2 months after the events of persona 4 and 2+ years after the events of persona 3 (for those characters).

And its also canon according to the devs.

As for myself i have skipped a lot of persona 4 stuff since i haven't played it myself yet. I know bits and pieces since i saw some of the endurance run but i eventually held off.
