Opera (the singing and such)

I stayed up inappropriately late a few days ago watching a recent performance of Don Giovanni at the Met on PBS and it put me in the mood to watch some others.  Anybody have any favorite recorded performances—or just particular favorite operas?

if you're in the DC area and are interested in live performances as well, sign up for this immediately

great seats super cheap until you turn 35.  I was able to get seats 4 rows back for a crazy take on MacBeth for $25 in addition to things where you can go to the Takoma Park school and watch rehearsals and get free food and drinks out of the deal

Le nozze di Figaro is still my absolute favorite.  This is the final scene.  I genuinely don't think it's worth worrying about being spoiled.
