Monster Hunter will never sell as well as it does in Japan in the west so there's no point in sabotaging Japanese sales by doing stupid things like abandoning handhelds. However, if Capcom really cared they would have started a PS3/360/Wii U/PC MH game to have some appeal in the west as well as having content that can be easily mined into Vita/iOS titles. Instead they're continuing the series' visual stagnation. It's insane that a series this popular can have no real noticeable bump in visuals in nearly 10 years.

Yup, insane in the country where Dragon Quest is the largest 3rd party franchise.

(of course, the jump from 5->6 and 7->8 were massive and gorgeous, but this is also the franchise that went backwards in terms of visual fidelity!)

Would have preferred it if Julia had appeared in the game as Jay Cee, teaming with King instead of Marduk, and R. Mika and Zangief as the Capcom side's opposing team.

edit : I was CLEARLY talking about Monster Hunter. Even i'm not dumb enough to suggest Capcom wouldn't announce anything that wasn't on a nintendo platform. ESPECIALLY for Capcom.

full of bugs, sounds like post release support was an argument between Capcom/Sony as to who supported it :/

Looks good though, the 3D is pretty awesome.

Had one huge solo battle against one of the last 3 monsters and it froze about 20 minutes in with no life loss and lots of items left. Hugely annoying.

in Japan it's not a problem - because it's main players don't care about online, they want adhoc face to face play.

In the US? The game absolutely has to have online.
