Right now, I'm living in my parent's house but yesterday I finished signing for a lease and then I just did a bunch of running, video gaming, and trolling around okcupid. Now my little brother just woke me up by peeing himself in bed so I just cleaned him up and can't exactly go back to sleep. I'm think I'm going to go get some fried chicken, smoke something, go for a walk somewhere and then come back and try to finish my no-kills/alarms playthrough of Deus Ex: HR.

Found out the car was worse off than I expected. Cracked manifold or some such shit. So I'm gonna go car shopping... Not what I had intended to do this weekend.

My work day so far:

- 6:30 AM:Woke up and felt kind of aggravated that I had to go to work. 
- 7:05 AM: Got the station a little later than usual, but it doesn't matter since the place is completely empty.
- 7:10 AM: The train is supposed to come now, but...nothing.
- I check and find that they have switched to their Sunday operating schedule.  The next train is at 7:23.
- This means I will have no time to get something to eat after I get to my stop. 
- 7:53 AM: I get to the building and find every door locked.
- 7:55 AM: Spot my team lead and he tells me that unless you have a special key card, you can't get use the entrances on holidays.  We walk around and go down to the food court under the buildings in this area of the complex and up an employee stairwell to get into the building.
- 7:57 AM: The fuckin' elevators also require a keycard.  We have to call someone on our work floor to have them send the elevator down.
- 8:00 AM: Manage to clock in on time.  THE FUCKING AIR CONDITIONERS ARE NOT TURNED ON AND THE WINDOWS CANNOT BE OPENED.  At least there is a fan.
- 8:47 AM: Sitting here doing nothing.  I work tech support and my team has received all of one phone call so far today.  Typically we'd all be busy...my availability right now is 41:19.  Hopefully I get to go home by noon.

That was incredibly pointless- I received one Email message -an automated message that just needed to be deleted- and that was it.  So I pretty much got paid to sweat and play video games.

Seeing the fantastic Tensnake today and will probably forced to go to a house party tomorrow, sunday is recovery time for my poor 30 year old bones.

Tensnake - hope he comes back to NYC soon, first time was amazing but left me wanting more (he only played for a little more than an hour, but it was at my favorite club in the city at least)

I was GOING to go to the ZOO today. but when we got there the line was like going all the way into the parking lot. i knew it would be busy and i told my mother this but she was like "no no, we'll go around a halfhour after they open, that way to avoid the initial line!" and i'm like "mother... there won't be a time where there isn't a line"

so we saw the line and thought "fuck that" and turned around. then i said, "why not go see a movie or something" so we drove all the way to the mall thats in a city over because it's way better. before the movie we went to the food court where i had a delicious spicy chicken pita wrap then saw Premium Rush which was great.

later going to play some Dark Souls. then watch RAW

Unfortunately a lot of people used to routinely call out sick during Labor Day weekend before they cracked down a bit.  Normally they don't require a doctor's note unless you've been out sick for a few days, but today was different because it was not only the holiday weekend, but it was also Dragon Con here and a lot of people would call in sick to go there in the past. 

But if I was throwing up, I would have called out sick regardless- and would go to the doctor tomorrow.  Dude seemed pretty out of it.

Just got back from LDW in vegas...wasn't much happening early in the trip, but saw Aoki/Porter Robinson on Fri and a pretty disappointing deadmau5 dj set at a bullshit club on Sat.

the Friday show was great, get back to the room and watched tiesto spin for a bit (couldn't really hear it). had a view overlooking the pool part of the club..

A pretty good weekend:

- Read through a book in its entirety
- Almost watched all episodes of Arrested Development
- Took my dog on numerous walks
- Bought a 3DS and 10 games
- Finished two games on Steam and made good inroads towards a third
- Downloaded a shitload of softcore porn images
- Posted a shitload here, a lot more than I usually do
- Got PCSX2 set up and play tested games that Positive Touch sent me (Shaka, I'm the one who bought FFX-2.  Come at me bro)
- Got Dolphin set up and play tested games that Positive Touch sent me as well as my other Wii shit

All in all a great slacker's weekend!  The biggest downside is that I feel a sense of dread for work because I wanted to get some shit done but blew all of it off.  I feel like an asshole as I saw coworkers send e-mails and shit throughout the weekend.  Probably going to have to work some late nights this week to make up for this weekend.

I just turned 30 myself, not sure how I survived all 3 days... of course I chilled a bit on the third day in the afternoon but was still in the middle of the crowd for Tiesto and Skrillex. Not sure how I managed that! Still a bit sore but ahh well, it's not that bad. I say, going to these things keeps me young!

Drove down the coast from Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz; a lovely drive. Chatted with a friend who is going through a rough time. Headed back to San Jose, saw some high school and college friends for burgers and board games. This weekend was three-for-three in awesomeness!
