« on: October 01, 2012, 03:20:39 PM »
I've put my in a box of rice. Anybody got better ideas?

It's not charging anymore and it keeps turning on options at the random now.

Goodnight sweet prince.

A sunny windowsill is usually good for electronics.

Maybe put it under a lamp with a fan blowing on it, then.

Its been in rice for like 24 hours now, and no banana.

Maybe wholegrain is not the way to go, and it wants some basmati.

THE INTERNET says 3 days to wait for it to dry in a warm/hot place

"Allow your phone to sit someplace that's warm but not hot and dry for three days."

No... It wasn't even me that made it wet  :-\

It wasn't even that wet thats the strange thing. Maybe it just got into the wrong cracks.

Concrete. The miracle of science:

Ca3SiO5 + H2O → (CaO)·(SiO2)·(H2O)(gel) + Ca(OH)2

 :P

Voila; no more unbound water.

You probably shouldn't be turning it on to check on it while it's still wet.

If you have any of those little packets of silica gel handy, those work well. Otherwise, MAF's banana suggestion is probably your best bet.

The rice trick doesn't work. I tried that for the last two electronics that got soaked (Nano and 3DSXL) and it failed me.
