Buying tobacco products online.
« on: October 08, 2012, 11:46:55 AM »
Does anyone have any experience with buying tobacco online?

I'm not much of a cigarette smoker, cigars are for special occasions for me and I hate chew. I am really into snus though, and seeing as I'm in saudi the only way I can get snus is through online websites. So if anyone has any experience with said websites is it worth it? Any problems?

I have a local tobacconist where I buy my hukka, lucky strikes, cigars and such. I can't very well recommend you anyone (and i'm pretty sure customs would confiscate it if it's from outside of the borders) but I would advise  you look for the biggest local outlet in where you are and see if they have an online presence.

I ordered cigarettes online once when I was a kid. It was a pretty good way to avoid the age restriction on tobacco.

American or Scandinavian snus? I think most of Europe has banned our stuff. It's a lot less dangerous than cigarettes, but they try to avoid introducing yet another vice into society.

I don't know how much help I can be. I frequently order cigars for my dad as gifts from a handful of different vendors, and haven't encountered anything even vaguely resembling difficulties in dozens of orders. But, I'm not ordering internationally. So, obviously, your mileage may vary.

Scandinavian snus is treated as narcotics in several Middle Eastern countries. I'd stick to other forms of tobacco.

 :'(

But the website says they can ship it there  :'(

You wanna know the likelyhood of getting into any serious shit over one can of snus getting shipped to you is? Close to zero. You'd be surprised what goes through the mail, even to and from the Middle East. Just make it ain't shipped from Holland :lol :lol :lol :lol
