So yeah, I was at NY Comic Con today and decided to check out their speed dating event... met a few cool girls, apparently one of them really liked me. The girl was surprisingly very cute (there were a few nice looking girls there), petite, blonde hair, kindergarten teacher from the city. The hosts of the panel apparently film the event, and follow around one couple on a date. So they picked the 2 of us and interviewed us and will be following us around at the con on Sunday on our "date"... it's really fucking surreal, I can't believe I may actually be on TV and on a geek-themed show.
But now here is the biggest plot twist of them all. Guess what game company she loves...

Well, you all know my taste... guess opposites attract! She said she liked me because "he seemed really cool, my physical type and had a good job and didn't live in his mom's basement". lol. I don't think I really fit the kinda stereotype they want to portray on the show, since while I'm huge into the retro video games and anime, and have a job that's somewhere between nerdy and top secret james bond cool, I've got a pretty balanced amount of interests and roll in different crowds... you'll find me whitewater rafting or at a rave as often as you'll find me grinding S-Links in himusona.
Even when waiting on line for the event, some girl hands me a slip of paper saying "if speed dating doesn't work out, call me 631-###-####" and points to her friend, a chubby girl dressed like the girl from Kick Ass. I'm gonna call that one too since she's from my area code. Some other girls were interested including one I was also real interested in, so I got their contact info too

Here's a link talking about the show, if you guys haven't seen it:
