corporate apologist, i've seen pretty much the same article in a few other places, and later next year when iPad 3 gets skipped on a bunch of iOS 7 features it can't handle, or next Summer when some game comes out that makes your year-old tablet chug, i'll bet these people won't bother writing articles about it
i'll use it until the battery completely dies or updates slow it to a crawl (like what's happening to iPad 1), but this will be my last ipad, and i won't be investing any more money in their ecosystem
again, people spent $500-800 on something they've completely erased from their product history and blown out the doors in a fire sale six months later, while the 2011 model is still being sold new
they know it's going to have problems in the future, because they skimped on the chips to get it out the door at the expected time as an "in-between" unit
