I played the first one when it came out to collect roms n shit, but once I paid off my mortgage I completely and totally lost interest in it.  It's like the opposite of real life in that respect.

i played a little of the ds one, thinking it might be a good timekiller in between real releases, but then i just realized that every single activity in the game was boring as shit and i was better off replaying or knocking off unfinished sidequests in other games. animal crossing is some mind-numbing shit.

Did anyone else use the ereader thingy with the GBA Animal Crossing? I was a little OCD about getting the cards for a while. Shame the ereader didn't get much use here in the states.

I didn't but I did use the link cable to go to the island and get a bunch of free cash. Was awesome.

A lot but it was somewhat time consuming IIRC. You had to drop a piece of fruit on the ground and the other dude on the island would take it and throw out a money sack one at a time. Was great though.

Also the only way to get coconuts I think.
