Urgent Win 7 help required! pls halp (permissions n shit)

I plugged in an external HDD which has been formatted to FAT32. I can't read or write anything from the drive as it says I don't have permission. All fixes I found online require a right-click on the drive > properties > security tab, however if a drive is formatted as FAT or FAT32 this tab does not exist.

Can any windows freaks give me some suggestions?

why do you have an external hdd that's formatted in fat32

not windows 7 but i bet it may still work (the equivalents in windows 7)

yeah my external drive is formatted in FAT32 because I was fantasizing about connecting a mac to a PC, then plug 'n play.


I found a workaround that I will reveal v. shortly. Involves Fraps and the original Deus Ex

I had a drive that was FAT32 back when the 360 required drives to be that way.  I had to use third party software and reformat it as NTFS
