It sucks.  As someone who grew up in the South (in Atlanta and parts of suburban and rural GA to boot) I can confirm that the fascination with it is mostly from those who still complain about "The War of Northern Aggression"

I saw this film many moons ago during Ramadan. It could have been the hunger but I remember thinking it was the most overrated film out there until I watched The Graduate. Scarlett is just a horrible person, I can't help but SMH at the women who've called her a positive role model or a strong woman, cause she was the definition of bitch, I'd go as far as calling her the Bella Swan of the golden era.

Clark Gable is the only redeeming factor in this movie, he was great but everything else stunk to high heaven.
