I had a better experience on my old android 1.0 phone

The old store wasn't anything special but the new one is terrible. Maybe my internet is shit but its so slow. And I'm not talking about download speeds, just searching through the store is a chore

Doesn't Europe have a webstore? That needs to come stateside asap

I signed up for PS Plus and put about 10 things in my cart. After starting the download the performance of the store and the actual PS button overlay dropped to 2fps. I could barely get it to register button presses to quit out of the app

I hate the store. Every Tuesday is like "fuck, I have to check the store again to get my free PS+ shit before it expires (that I'll never play)". Then after 15 mins of slooooow store crawl, I shut the system off for another week.

Honestly I thought the old JPN store was fine. It was fast, showed the new updates in the corner and had pictures when you clicked on something. The US store for some reason was missing those last 2 things and that made it bad and in need of an update. This update added the pictures but at the expense of PAINFULLY SLOWNESS. There's no win with Sony Entertainment of America.

In my day we downloaded our PSP demos from shady sites on the internet and we fucking loved it. So many Loco Roco demos!

I almost completely forgot that I did this. Being a launch PSP owner was weird. Repeat viewings of Spider-Man 2 on UMD have washed over my memory of that period until CFW came about.

The new web store is actually the far superior way of shopping. It's fast and completely free of bullshit.

The new PS3 store loads icons faster than the old one for me.

I'm starting to believe that this is an issue with Sony's servers in North America and not the store itself. The new store is slightly faster for me and I also get perfectly acceptable download speeds (~ 5 MB/s) here in Europe.

My favorite part is when I click on a list and the banner takes half the screen.

Modern UI design standards suggest that as soon as you reach the bottom of a page and start scrolling any huge banner should shrink to a minimal size and free up viewing space, but that obviously conflicts with Sony's superior design ethos — they strongly believe 2x4 grid view is enough when browsing a list of 150–200 items on your 50" TV.

it just adds to your download list for now (so no auto download) but its way fucking better than the PS3 version just because of the speed increase alone.

honestly i may not even use that POS until its fixed (will access the download list from account management instead)

Just thought I'd add it's actually been really good for me. Since I got PS+ PSN downloads have been crazy fast too relative to how it used to be, store framerate is so funny considering how basic it is, but loads fast otherwise. DL'd 600MB in a few minutes

I nearly cried, Sony cares for us PAL territories. PS+ is a revelation
