Recap for those who couldn't watch?
Rick Perry opened a special legislation period in the middle of the night to quickly pass an abortion ban in Texas. Citizens showed up at the Texas congress to submit citizen filibusters until representatives could make it back. Fast forward to today, the last day of the special legislation period: Wendy Davis, a democrat, filibustered for nearly 24 hours in order to end the special legislation period, thus killing the bill. Republicans have hit her with three rule violations, including one due to a senator helping her put her back brace on. Basically she has to stand for 24 hours and cannot lean or do anything except stand.
She got hit with the third strike over some bullshit (not staying on topic, despite clearly being on topic). Now democrats are attempting to kill the remaining two hours with parliamentary inquiries.
