Meanwhile in Ireland...

KERRY COUNTY COUNCILLORS have voted in favour of a motion which would allow people in rural Ireland to have ‘two or three’ drinks and still drive.

Quote
“A lot of these people are living in isolated rural areas where there’s no public transport of any kind, and they end up at home looking at the four walls, night in and night out, because they don’t want to take the risk of losing their licence,” he told TheJournal.ie.

Meanwhile abortion is still illegal. But at least drunk driving is about to make a comeback.

Yes, it is.

There are multiple competing systems which makes it difficult to compare the numbers without a little bit of math, read more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_alcohol_content

Yes, but before I move there, I need to know if it is also OK to beat my wife?

Only if she is about to break a law, like having abortion, or trying to stop you fromdrunk driving from/to the pub.

Although if you punch her in the stomach you might break the abortion law and be sentenced.

I've always wondered, living in the sticks for the last few years, how roadside bars in the middle of nowhere... Work. I guess people just kinda let it slide out here heh.

According to MADD Canada, a 165-pound male can have three drinks over a two-hour period and his BAC will be just below this limit. A 130-pound female can have two.

I feel like stricter drinking/driving laws have helped reduce crime worldwide. Less people carousing and causing friction while drunk.

Since beer wasn't even considered an alcoholic drink in Russia until very recently, in theory you could just say you only had 15 beers and the police would just call you a pussy and wave you on, laughing

Shotgun Wedding for Kosma!

Yeah, I'd buy that. It may even help that if there's a designated driver at a table, s/he may be the one keeping Stupid Shit from escalating into Violent Shit.

Shotgun Wedding for Kosma!

A shotgun wedding is an American colloquialism referring to a wedding in which the groom is forced to marry the woman whom he impregnated.
