I think Eric pointed out some free post appoc novels in the book thread not too long ago. From night shade books or something. I haven't read them yet, but they were free

the mega man 2 book is amazing. 

imagine having to write a 100 page novelization of a half-hour long video game with pretty much no dialogue.  that's pretty much a dream job right there.
