I bought Xenoblade and The Last Story this weekend. Still don't own a Wii.

The game does seem difficult early on. It will get much easier as you get better equipment or more characters. I know I tried to kill that giant bug in Tephra Cave and just said fuck it.

The game has icons showing how much stronger / weaker the enemy is as well. I think name color too.

THAT MOTHERFUCKER.  I died there like 5 times and did the same thing.

I think it's meant to do that, since Reyn even says that some fights can't be won and you should bail the fuck out.

I hope they turn the colors on for the final game, because the subdued colors are preventing me from really appreciating what I see. I loved walking through Xenoblade's world just doing shit and I can't imagine doing that in a field that feels like it gives me depressions while looking at it.

Also, I feel kinda physicially sick when watching that gif. Not sure if it's because I was pretty sick last week or because it's being posted way too often everywhere.

Also 2: Having seen some Baten Kaitos stuff right now, I hope for Honne doing something BK-related, even though that's never going to happen again. Origins was such a great game, damnit. Why did no one play it?

About 15 hours in now.

The game has been clicking on all cylinders for the last 7 hours or so.  Been grinding to upgrade arts and skill trees, and I'm an unbeatable motherfucker at the moment (unless you're one of those level 90 assholes that show up at night.)

Just got to Makna Forest, I think it's called, and called it a night once I saved that chick that looks like a fairy.  It's so fucking obvious who Metal Face is, so the story has been really stupid so far (why the fuck are you calling him Metal Face, dumbest name ever).  Regardless though, Shulk, Dunban, and Sharla are raping mothers at the moment.

I haven't been doing a lot of sidequests though.  I avoid the ones that just offer gold, and go for the ones that offer experience along with gold, and any item that may be an award.  Gold quests are easy any way, you just kill shit, for the most part.  Still, I'm in a good spot level wise and I haven't had to do many sidequests.

Game is tight.  Also it's very pretty for a Wii game...I keep on saying wow every time I enter a new part of Bionis.  Shit's huge.  Reminds me of XIII's world.

You know, I really hope the Wii U lives long enough for X2 to be released. As it is right now, that could be a serious worry.

Honestly no, not really.  A lot of them are stupid sounding.  The ones that I actually end up doing are the ones I complete unconsciously -- just take a shitload at an outpost or town the meander around the field, killing things and picking up blue/red orbs.  That usually completes...I'd say about a third of the quests I take on.

Worth nothing, when I say I'm seemingly around the half-game mark, it's because

I just got on Mechonis about an hour ago.  I feel that I'll be exploring most of this body for the next 20 hours , just like I spent about 30 on Bionis
